• Acquires and maintains thorough knowledge of winery and our wines

• Work in a team environment and open to performing other duties as assigned

• May be assigned other tasks or be asked to participate in other activities both on site and off site as needed

• And any other duties that may be required from the server that do not make up part of their role

Qualifications 

• Able to work a flexible schedule (weekends, holidays and evenings)

• High school diploma or equivalent and / or qualified experience required

• Proficient and or familiar with POS systems (Orderport)

• Professional appearance and demeanor

• General math skills, be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages

• Verbal communication, customer service, resolving conflict, teamwork, persistence, selling to customer needs, thoughtfulness, professionalism, client relationship building

• Warm and friendly, outgoing and trustworthy

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

• Ability to attend training sessions when required

• Assist with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar area with wine, water, glasses, towels and anything needed for the Servers to complete their duties

• Ensuring the wines are kept cool, and well stocked with ice

• Keeping the bar area and general areas clear of clutter and rubbish

• Keeping bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glass-wear, cleaning bathrooms and emptying trash cans.

• Help Servers by setting and clearing tables; replenishing water

• Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact
